Simon

| ...with his driving rhythms and energy-charged fills, he holds all the moving parts together.
After his parents encouraged him to play the recorder, Simon decided to become a drummer at the tender age of six. This is how he discovered his love for music and his passion for rhythm at an early age. Since then, he has been drumming on anything he can get his hands on. After almost ten years of drum lessons, he founded his first band with friends while still at school. The first gigs in youth centres, schools, small festivals and live clubs soon followed. When his school days ended, so did his first band, as his friends left to study in all directions. The dream of a life as a rock star was initially postponed indefinitely in favour of a "sensible" education. But even during his studies, Simon couldn't let go of music and continued to be drawn regularly to the rehearsal room. First with "Ruins of Reason", later with "Pitch and Brimstone". After a longer stay abroad in South America, he then played with "Jesiro", "SCJ" and "Erdbeergrün", as well as "Svennae & Morales". Since 2016, he has been on the road from time to time as a guest musician and collaborator with "Wolfdog", "Trips Asmussen" and various other bands. Meanwhile he has students himself, gives workshops and trains the next generation of drummers. Apart from "The SurfAnauts", he is currently drumming with "WATAR", "NATIVO", "SAADIKO" and "Paydost". Through his live streams on Twitch, he inspires an international audience. Over the years, this busy drummer has made a name for himself in the scene and drummed his way into the hearts of fans. Otherwise: ...likes trees and knows what's blooming there. Can operate high-pressure liquid chromatographs.
